    Structured Review

    R&D Systems total srage concentrations
Effect of acute exercise intensity on soluble receptor for advanced glycation endproducts <t>(sRAGE)</t> isoforms in lean healthy adults (LH) and adults with obesity (OB). Change in plasma concentrations of <t>total</t> <t>sRAGE</t> ( A ), endogenous secretory RAGE (esRAGE, B ), and cleaved RAGE (cRAGE, C ) were calculated by subtracting values obtained at baseline (Pre) from values obtained 30 min after (Post) treadmill exercise performed at 40% of participants’ V̇ o 2max for 60 min, 65% of V̇ o 2max for 30 min, or 80% of participants’ V̇ o 2max until calorie expenditure matched that which they obtained during the 40% exercise bout. Data are represented as means ± SD, and individual data points are plotted about the mean. Data were analyzed via 2-way ANOVA with Bonferroni correction used for post hoc analyses. P values for pairwise comparisons are shown when main effects approached significance ( P < 0.05). V̇ o 2max , maximal aerobic capacity.
